AH... Living in the South

You know I always hear from friends up north who for some reason think it never snows in Birmingham or the south. Well, I am telling you that we had snow last night and it stuck and it was measurable. Now, I know a lot of friends and family up north are dealing with an old fashioned Nor'easter. All I can say is, been there done that and don't care to do it again thank you. Try dealing with snow in the south where you don't have snow plows or shovels to remove it so you can go to the store. Now that, my friend, is tough. Just take a look at these two pictures of the snow around our house that I took this morning. You can see the build up on Cathy's car and on our deck. The one on the deck even shows the dog's footprints in the snow.

So, next time you think we have all cushy in the south with our warm weather and "no snow," think again. Just wait until summer when I tell just how hot it gets down here.
